In November, Farmers Received Access to 25,000 Hectares of Cleared Land – Yuliia Svyrydenko
In November, farmers were granted access to nearly 25,000 hectares of agricultural land surveyed and cleared of mines and shells by deminers. Since the beginning of the year, demining teams have surveyed over 309,000 hectares of farmland as part of the priority agricultural land demining program.
“In November, our deminers surpassed the milestone of 300,000 hectares of agricultural land surveyed this year. More than 280,000 hectares have already been handed over to farmers for use. Exceptional work has been done by deminers in the liberated territories of Kherson region. Since the beginning of the year, they have surveyed over 250,000 hectares in the region, with nearly 245,000 hectares now ready for agricultural use,” stated Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine and Minister of Economy.
The largest areas surveyed include:
Kherson region: 20.7 thousand hectares in November, 251.1 thousand hectares since the start of the year.
Mykolaiv region: 4.4 thousand hectares in November, 20.9 thousand hectares since the start of the year.
Kharkiv region: 1 thousand hectares in November, 22.5 thousand hectares since the start of the year.
