Demine Forum 2.0
Ukraine faces one of the world’s most extensive landmine contamination challenges. As of early October 2024, approximately 139,000 square kilometers of Ukrainian land are potentially contaminated with explosive remnants of war. This poses severe threats to the lives of people living in areas affected by hostilities, as well as significant challenges to Ukraine’s economic recovery and global food security.
The Demine Ukraine Forum 2.0 aims to review the year’s progress in mine action and outline the challenges facing humanitarian demining. Participants will discuss new technologies that can enhance safety and productivity in demining operations, as well as tools for attracting funding to humanitarian mine action.
THE EVENT PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE HERE:
The forum is initiated by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
Demine Ukraine will gather around 350 participants, including government representatives, international organizations, humanitarian demining experts, NGOs, businesses, equipment manufacturers, and innovators.
