On October 17-18, 2024, Ukraine Mine Action Conference 2024, UMAC-2024 will be held in Lausanne, Switzerland. The conference is co-organised by Switzerland and Ukraine.

The purpose of the event is to create a platform for sustainable dialogue between Ukraine and international partners at a high political level to facilitate the development and implementation of policies in the field of mine action, aiming for the swiftest and most effective resolution of the problem of mine and explosive ordnance contamination in Ukraine.

The conference in Lausanne continues the dialogue between Ukraine and its partners in the field of mine action, which has already taken place within the framework of the Donor Coordination Workshop on Mine Action (April 17-18, 2024, Kyiv) and the Ukraine Recovery Conference (June 11-12, 2024, Berlin), as well as the International Donors' Conference on humanitarian demining in Zagreb in October 2023.
